About the design:
I made these Skipping Boxers paintings when I used to jump rope; it’s fun, funny, a skippy dance, and of course it’s exhausting and good for footwork, which is why boxers do it, for conditioning.
Big tough boxers jump rope, and so do little schoolgirls, they float, weightless, for a quick moment, while the rope whistles through the air, their toes dance on the ground. It’s both graceful and gruelling. This is the kind of double-thing I like.
