I have cushions

Hello,

I hope you're all well.

I have some nice pictures to show you.

Cushions

I now have a range of cushions available alongside my teatowelsnotebookscards, and art-prints.

I finally have photographs of them thanks to Rebecca Thompson. This is one of my Loop the Loop cushions flying through the sky:

I have a single one of each cushion design so they’re rare things. I’m testing the waters and will produce more if there’s demand.

Talking of water, here are two of my Pop! ones having a bath:

The cushions have been designed in pairs. I made each one a little different so the pairs look more interesting, and each be its own thing.

This cushion is an enlarged section from a floral design called We Are Giants.

Here’s the whole pattern - We Are Giants.

(Thank you, kind and generous James Strang for taking these photos.)

I printed seventeen pairs of cushions to see what would sell best. I plan to maintain a range of ten or so. Two ways you can help me:

  1. Please tell me which ones you think I should keep,

    and

  2. please direct any Cushion People you meet to my shop.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

It would also be pretty helpful if you bought a cushion for somebody. You can have a look at them all here.

And here’s something I wrote in my blog about the photoshoot with Becca Thompson.

See how much fun the photoshoot was:

Health update

I'm better now, that's the news. I organised the cushions from my hospital bed at the beginning of February. I had very little energy following a couple of big scoopy operations and it was a big effort just sending the emails. Typing the words and attaching the images to make it clear what I wanted took me several days. Thank you to Karen and Liam, my cushion friends, for helping me.

All this meant that I had something to keep me occupied as I emerged from my fog and exhaustion and feebleness. I am now more or less back to normal and feeling great. The cancer is gone. Thank you to everything who sent me such supportive messages, they were wonderful, and I felt well loved.

Other things

I am keen to find friendly stockists for my cushions and teatowels, so please think of how you can help me find a home for my products.

I'm in the early stage of designing a few other things. My criteria are, they have to be high quality, useful and they have to be sustainably made by decent people. Anyone with contacts who make any of the following using sustainable materials, please talk to me:

Coasters and trays
Compression moulded decorations
Welcome mats and rugs
Hard-back notebooks
Tote bags and bumbags and other fun bags
Caps and accessories

That is more or less it. I don’t want to go on for too long or you’ll get bored.

Thanks for reading this far, and again for any help you can give me.

The photos you’ve seen were taken by Rebecca Thompson (here’s her website). James Strang took the product photos on the white background. Thank you both very very much.
