About the design:

When I was ill with cancer and undergoing treatment, I continued to paint and make designs when I could. This is one picture I made. I imagined a man on a boat, and his reflection being all the same, but wearing a hat. The idea was of things being the same but a little different, a little off, sort of uncanny, but funny too. Most details in the picture are echoed on the opposite side of the equator.
