About the design:

I’ve always loved things that work both ways up. Upside down things are great. When I doodle, I doodle faces, often upside down faces. When I come to the end of a day of painting, I use the leftover paint to make upside down face paintings. So of course I had to make an upside down face pattern - here it is.
